February Favourites

I can’t believe February is almost over, Spring is nearly upon us! It’s been a busy month for me, so some speedy pampering products are topping this months favourites list.

Teapigs Apple & Cinnamon tea;

I don’t drink “normal” tea or coffee but absolutely love herbal teas. My mum gave me a huge selection of Teapigs teas for Christmas which I’m slowly working my way through, but so far this is my favourite. It isn’t caffeinated so great to drink anytime of the day, and has a lovely fruity, sweet taste. The best bit about it for me is it tastes amazing hot or cold, which having a 5 month old daughter is brilliant as I rarely finish a drink before it goes cold! I also tend to top it up with hot water once it’s nearly finished as I feel the bag is flavoured enough for 2 teas.

Barry M Mani Mask and Frosted Cupcakes

I love Barry M, and have been using their products for years. It’s a brand I thought I’d grow out of as I got older, but keep coming back to again and again. I only tend to buy the nail varnish, but after years of trying so many other (and much more expensive) brands I honestly haven’t found any that compete. They go on so easily, dry quickly and are such beautiful colours. The Mani Mask goes on nude, drys matte and helps strengthen and protect your nails. I use that as a base coat then have been wearing Frosted Cupcakes which is a really soft pinky nude colour with a little subtle shimmer to it, it lasts over a week on my nails before it starts chipping. The only downside with it being shimmery is it takes a little longer to take off!

Grounded Face Scrub, Sweet Orange

This face scrub is amazing, it is packed full of vitamins and anti-oxidants which leave my skin feeling super soft and looking radiant. I like to leave this on while I’m in the bath then gently massage it across my skin before washing off. I don’t drink coffee but I love the smell of it, and with the added orange scent this is delicious. It contains Almond oil which I always find works really well on my skin when it’s a little dehydrated. Just make sure you use this in the bath or somewhere easy to clean as it’s quite messy to apply!

Beauty Pie The Ten Best Natural Eyeshadows

When I placed my first order with Beauty Pie last month I was really excited to try their products, and they didn’t disappoint. This eyeshadow palette is my favourite from the products I purchased, I’ve been wearing it nearly everyday since it arrived. I won’t go into too much detail about this as you can find more information in my previous post reviewing Beauty Pie, but let’s just say the colours are stunning and you can create some amazing eye looks with the variety in the palette.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance

This eyeshadow primer was given to me as a sample in my old job ages ago when they started stocking Too Faced but I didn’t start using it until a few weeks ago when my regular primer ran out. After trying it I actually prefer it to my usual primer! It looks nude but is colourless when on the skin, and makes the application of eyeshadow really easy. It helps blend colours, creates more depth to the colours and ensures they last much longer. I will definitely be buying this again when it runs out.

Kokoso Coconut Oil

Ok, so this product is actually for babies. I’ve been using it on Alice’s cradle cap and for her baby oil as we try to keep her skincare as natural as possible. It’s been working really well on her skin, but I’ve also been stealing a bit for me as I had extremely dry skin on my knees and elbows which I’ve been struggling to shift but this stuff does the trick. It smells gorgeous, is completely organic and can be used for hair, face and body. Perfect to give the skin an added bit of moisture in the colder months, plus it smells like summer which is a bonus!

That’s it for my February Favourites, leave a comment and let me know what your favourite products this month are.

I’ve got lots of lovely things coming up that I discovered at yesterday’s Professional Beauty show in London, so keep your eyes peeled for that! Check out my Instagram for daily news and reviews; jessica_life_and_beauty
